The autumn is long forgotten, and greyness has taken over the landscape outside. That is a sign it’s time to curl up under a blanket with a mug of hot tea and see what the Winter 2026 Anime season has in store for us. I won’t lie—after 2025, which spoiled us with an incredible number of excellent productions and set the bar high, the current start of the season feels a bit… disappointing. The new releases aren't as captivating as I’d hoped, and my watchlist is much smaller than usual. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel warming my heart during these frosty days: the schedule includes sequels to two series I’ve been impatiently waiting for. We’ll see if Winter 2026 can make up in quality for what it lacks in quantity.

The first heatwaves are already behind us, and the days have become much longer. A new season is beginning, so it’s time for another recommendation – Summer Anime 2025. The summer season is, above all, filled with highly anticipated sequels. I don't think I've ever had so many series added to my watching list in a single season. Including leftovers (which is basically just one series), I’ll be watching 25 titles this summer. How many of them will be worth finishing? Time will tell. One thing is certain, though – the Summer 2025 anime season looks exceptionally good.
