Anime Wiosna 2026

Spring Season Summary

At the very beginning, a brief summary of the previous season. I recommend that you read the linked post, as here I will list in a nutshell the best summer series, which I would consider a waste to omit. The final commentary and rating of each series listed can also be seen in the aforementioned post on the previous season. If I have decided to review a particular title individually, it will be linked below.

Disappointment of the Season?

Preliminary expectations for the Anime Spring 2026

I’d like to note that this post will be updated as the first episodes premiere. As always, you can expect descriptions, my personal opinion, and screenshots, so I recommend checking back frequently. The PVs (preview videos) can be found under the next heading.

I’m slightly changing the format of my preliminary expectations. There is now a bit more information available, presented in a more readable way. After the first episodes air, the section below will be hidden behind a spoiler tag, as per usual. My commentary will only appear for premieres or sequels where there is something new worth mentioning (like a change in studio or voice actors).

Two more things:

  1. Why do I always start descriptions with the visuals? The answer is simple—it’s usually the first thing we see, and especially in the case of first episodes, it’s what sticks in the memory.
  2. Why don’t I describe/watch Series X? It’s so great and all. I don’t know what will be a commercial hit right now, but if I didn’t list it in my post, it means this anime doesn’t interest me at all. I don’t list such series because it’s a waste of my time to watch them—and by extension, I don’t recommend them—because, as I’ve mentioned many times, I only recommend what actually interests me.

Leftovers from last season:

Information about the content of the Anime Spring 2026

Once again, I would like to remind you of the fact that descriptions, pictures, and my opinions about the Anime Winter 2026 will appear on a regular basis as the first episodes are released. Order of descriptions below = order of episode premieres. The full schedule for the Winter 2026 anime season can be found here, for example.

As in the entry for the previous season, under the description of a particular anime will appear my rating (according to the scheme available below) after the first and last episode of the Winter 2026 Anime season:

Yes – I believe that the production is noteworthy.

Not quite –In the case of the first episode, it usually means that not enough of the plot was shown in it to recommend the series. In the case of impressions after the last episode – the series is average and can be skipped.

No – I don’t recommend it, it’s a waste of time.

As always, I’ll also report on the quality of the translation. If there’s a better alternative to the official subs from Crunchyroll or Funimation (and thus SubsPlease) for a given series, I’ll make a note after the first episode.

Shunkashuutou Daikousha - Haru no Mai - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plShunkashuutou Daikousha – Haru no Mai

According to ancient myths, the gods, weary of their eternal cycle, entrusted the changing of the seasons to chosen human vessels. These avatars, known as the Agents of the Four Seasons, traverse the realms, performing sacred rituals to bless the earth with summer’s greenery, autumn’s foliage, winter’s snow, and spring’s blossoms. However, for the past ten years, the world has been devoid of spring.

Presumed missing by the public, the Agent of Spring, Kayou Hinagiku, has actually spent the last decade enduring a dark and tragic exile. By her side is her fiercely devoted bodyguard, Himedaka Sakura, who harbors a deep, toxic guilt for failing to protect her in the past. Now, Hinagiku finally steps out of the shadows to reclaim her duties.

Wielding immense power alongside a crushing burden of guilt for abandoning the world—and her fellow avatar, the Agent of Winter, Rousei—Hinagiku takes her first steps toward redemption. Journeying to the southern Mount Ryuugu, she prepares to perform a sacred dance to bring warmth back to an entire generation of children who have never known the beauty of melting snow.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it’s a truly gorgeous start. It is rare for me to be drawn into a series adapted by Wit Studio since they typically focus on mainstream action shows, but this is a completely different kind of story. The visuals are breathtaking, and the overarching air of mysticism makes the whole experience genuinely captivating. On top of that, the voice acting cast absolutely delivers.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e S4 - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plYoukoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e S4

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka begins his studies at a prestigious, fully government-funded Japanese high school built on an island near Tokyo. The boy is the observant type. He loves to analyze the behavior of the people around him—unfortunately, this trait makes him a loner. During the first class, the students are introduced to one another. The teacher announces that, unlike standard Japanese schools, new classes are not formed every year at this institution; the student roster for each class remains unchanged throughout their entire enrollment. Additionally, contact with the outside world is strictly limited. However, to avoid stripping the youth of their freedom, shopping malls and entertainment centers have been built where they can get anything they could possibly desire.

Purchases are made using points (equivalent to yen) stored in virtual wallets on every student’s phone. As an incentive, everyone is provided with one hundred thousand of these points, corresponding to one hundred thousand yen. Excited by this, the teenagers begin spending their allowance recklessly, while completely blowing off their schoolwork. The first month passes in the blink of an eye, and everyone eagerly awaits their next injection of cash. However, on the day of the scheduled transfer, it turns out that no one has received their expected payout. When asked about the reason for the delay, the energized teacher, with a look of satisfaction on her face, begins listing the offenses of individual class members, announcing that for this month, they have been awarded a flat 0 points.

Season 4

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes or rather, after four episodes, since that is how many premiered at launch. Season four kicks off the next arc from the LN, which is the second year. Releasing four episodes at once was a very good move. It allowed for a preliminary introduction to the new Class 1-D, or rather, two of its students. The ending of the fourth episode serves as a brilliant prelude to what can be expected from the events of the second year. The directing was truly fantastic, the whole thing kept you in suspense, and even though a few things from the light novel were skipped, it was an excellent watch. I can’t wait for the next episodes.

Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plHaibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game

University student Haibara Natsuki has his future all mapped out. Graduate, land a stable corporate job, and live an ordinary life. Yet, despite this certainty, he can’t shake the bitter regret of his lackluster high school years. Back then, a disastrous social debut left him as an overweight, clumsy outcast, ultimately leading to a painful rejection by his crush, Hoshimiya Hikari.

While reminiscing about what could have been and praying for a do-over, Natsuki suddenly wakes up to find he has traveled seven years back in time – exactly one month before his high school entrance ceremony.

Realizing he’s been given a second chance, he resolves to do everything in his power to avoid repeating his past failures. He spends the next month training intensely, shedding his chubby physique and crafting a meticulous strategy to conquer his adolescence. His efforts pay off spectacularly: he successfully joins the most popular clique in Class 1-2, spending his days with the cool Shiratori Reita, the energetic Sakura Uta, the reserved Nagiura Tatsuya, and—most importantly—the girl of his dreams, Hoshimiya Hikari.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes It’s a truly pleasant, interesting, and engaging start. I’ve seen several series with similar “time-leap” themes before, and they always turn out to be incredibly compelling; this one looks to be no different. Aside from the solid directing, character introductions, and core themes, the visual production is absolutely stellar. I’m looking forward to the next episodes with high expectations.

Haibara-kun no Tsuyokute Seishun New Game - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plDr. Stone: Science Future Part 3

On a certain fateful day, all of humanity on our planet is turned into living stone statues. After several thousand years, a high school student named Taiju breaks free from the stone shell covering his body, quickly discovering how much the world has changed. Fortunately, he is not alone—he finds his school acquaintance, the brilliant scientist Senkuu, who has been waiting months for his awakening while simultaneously developing a plan to restore other human fossils to life. A continuation of the fourth season.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes at this stage, you really ought to watch it to the end, as this is indeed the finale of the story. I am curious to see how they will get to the moon and what secret Why-man is hiding.

Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plOtonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken

Fujimiya Amane meets a girl named Shiina Mahiru, who attends the same school, sitting on a swing in the rain. Being quite a kind person by nature, he lends her his umbrella, which results in him catching a cold. The next day, Mahiru decides to return the borrowed umbrella. When she notices that Amane has a fever, she insists on returning the favor by helping him recover and preparing meals. Thus begins their relationship.

Season 2

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes a really sweet start of the second season. All of Mahiru’s reactions are simply priceless. Iwami Manaka does a truly brilliant job. The Ending (うれしい!たのしい!大好き! / Ureshii! Tanoshii! Daisuki!) performed by her will definitely be in my absolute top this season. The visuals also do their part. The whole thing just looks simply great.

Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plKanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi

At Tama Municipal Hounou High School, the perfect, athletic, and universally trusted disciplinary committee president hides a dark secret. In reality, she is Kanan, the daughter of the archdemon Beelzebub. Having descended from Hell after losing her appetite for underworld cuisine, Kanan treats the school like her private ranch, waiting for the students’ souls to properly mature so she can devour them.

When hunger finally gets the better of her, the girl summons a quiet first-year student, Kyougi Youji, to the committee room and announces her terrifying intention to devour him. However, this demonic threat leads to a massive misunderstanding. Instead of cowering in fear, Kyougi takes her words as a bold, cosplay-fueled romantic pick-up line. Excited by the prospect of being eaten by his beautiful Senpai, the boy immediately confesses his love to her and asks her out on a date.

Completely taken aback by the situation, the supposed master of gluttony reveals her true colors. Despite having thousands of years under her belt, Kanan is a complete novice in matters of romance, having never even held anyone’s hand before. Flustered by Kyougi’s assertive charm and his polite perversion, she accidentally agrees to become his girlfriend, quietly hoping that she’ll manage to steal his soul later.

Instead of feasting on human life force, however, the powerful daughter of an archdemon now finds herself entirely at the mercy of her own dopamine, blushing at requests to call each other by their first names, unprotected handholding, or eating perfect meat croquettes on the way home from school. Thus, instead of sowing hellish terror, Kanan experiences a true crush for the very first time in her life.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes I didn’t have any outstanding expectations for this anime, which is why it surprised me quite a bit. I had a really good laugh watching the starting episode. Kanan’s reactions and the contrast between her innocence and her pedigree were absolutely hilarious. I hope the whole thing doesn’t quickly become repetitive, but I remain optimistic. The visuals also deserve praise. And not just that—the voice actors brilliantly embodied their roles. Beelzebub is played by Kiryuu Kuroda Takaya — I would recognize that voice anywhere. Meanwhile, Koga Aoi in the role of the main heroine is an absolute masterpiece. The great tracks from the opening and ending also definitely deserve a special mention.

Koori no Jouheki - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plKoori no Jouheki

To her peers at Meiten High School, first-year student Hikawa Koyuki is an unapproachable Queen—a girl radiating an icy aura who keeps everyone at a safe distance. In reality, however, she isn’t cold at all; she is simply trying to protect herself at any cost. Scarred by painful memories from Kirinoshima Junior High, where unwanted advances and cruel taunts were dismissed by older students as mere jokes, Koyuki has built a powerful emotional wall around herself. She completely hides her true, somewhat clumsy and poetic self, preferring a quiet life in isolation over the risk of being hurt again. The only person allowed past her defense mechanisms is her fiercely loyal best friend, Azumi Miki—a sociable and widely beloved idol in her class.

Koyuki is perfectly satisfied with her quiet, solitary high school life until her path begins to regularly cross with Amamiya Minato, a laid-back boy from another class. He is characterized by an almost total disregard for others’ personal space. His overly friendly nature and easygoing banter instantly trigger Koyuki’s deepest fears, reminding her of the boys she swore to avoid.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it’s another adaptation of a manga by Agasawa Koucha (Seihantai na Kimi to Boku). Perhaps the first episode didn’t make as much of an impression on me as the aforementioned adaptation that premiered in Winter 2026, but it was still a very solid start, and this anime will definitely stay with me until the end.

NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plNEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE

In a modern surveillance society, where a person’s worth is ruthlessly dictated by social media metrics, popularity, and internet reach, the youth are slowly losing their minds. Seeking an escape from this dystopian reality, millions turn to the ultimate digital savior, whom they call the Ultra Sweet Angel. Brilliant, chaotic, and uncompromising, she delivers a hallucination to the lonely masses.

However, behind the candy-colored aesthetics and unhinged streams lies a completely different, brutal reality. Off-camera, the girl hiding behind the avatar is deeply unstable, battling severe depressive episodes, abusing medication, and desperately clinging to her live-in producer and partner. Entirely dependent on his approval, she absorbs the endless toxicity, cyberbullying, and pressure of the streaming world, determined to become the absolute number one on the internet—even if it ultimately destroys her.

Meanwhile, a new threat rises from the digital underground. Karamazov, a streaming group rapidly gaining popularity, threatens the throne of the Internet Angel. At its helm is Gokubara Michika—a cynical high school girl who despises society’s conformism and considers her peers to be mere plebeians. Although the girl wears a mask of arrogant apathy, deep down she harbors a dark, morbid fixation on the Angel. Her admiration is absolute, but it gradually mutates into a deadly, self-destructive obsession.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Not quite I don’t completely know what to think about the whole thing yet. The direction is drenched in the Shaft style, even though it’s not that studio, nor even Shinbo Akiyuki who is responsible for it. I’m not familiar with the source material, so I don’t entirely know what to expect; the upcoming episodes will surely answer these questions for me.

Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plPonkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi

Every morning at Komazawa High School, the same scenario repeats itself. An incredibly zealous disciplinary committee member, Sakuradaimon Tougo, constantly scolds Kohinata Poem for her dyed hair and a miniskirt that breaks the school rules. To the painfully serious Tougo, her outfit is a dangerous invitation to carnal desires.

Their daily clashes take an unexpected turn, however, when the two of them end up in remedial math classes together. The girl discovers that despite his model student attitude, Tougo is no top student and lacks any flexibility in his thinking. When Poem casually decides to help him out as a tutor, Tougo realizes that underneath her rebellious attire lies a genuinely kind-hearted person. A rather reluctant and awkward friendship forms between them. This relationship gets even more complicated when the boy firmly insists on walking her home, which leads to another shocking discovery—they both live on the very same street.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes a very pleasant, lighthearted comedy with an adorable main heroine and a series of funny misunderstandings. I hope the series won’t become formulaic and that each episode will still manage to surprise with its plot developments, but most importantly—with the development of the relationship between the main duo.

Class de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plClass de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta

In every class, you can find both shining stars and quiet loners. Maehara Maki definitely belongs to the latter group. Being a quiet student, he avoids the spotlight, perfectly content spending his weekends entirely alone in his apartment. There, he indulges in his favorite hobbies—playing games, ordering junk food, and watching B-movies. On the exact opposite end of the school hierarchy is Amami Yuu—an angelic social butterfly universally adored by everyone—and her loyal best friend, Asanagi Umi. Although Umi is incredibly beautiful in her own right, she often remains in the shadow of Yuu’s overwhelmingly radiant presence, earning her the unofficial title of the second cutest girl in the class.

However, the rigid social divides are completely turned upside down when Umi unexpectedly strikes up a conversation with Maki at the local video rental store. It turns out that this elegant and popular girl shares his specific tastes. Remembering his honest words during class introductions, Umi reveals her true colors to him—she is a massive fan of absurd B-movies and competitive video games. Bonded by their shared love for the movie Kung-Fu Shark, they form an unusual, secret friendship.

Soon, Umi becomes a regular guest at Maki’s apartment, sneaking over for private Friday hangouts filled with fierce PvP gaming duels and pizza. Determined to keep their relationship a secret and avoid the inevitable school rumors, they both must carefully maintain their drastically different public images. I really loved the songs used in both the opening and the ending.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes didn’t even notice those 20 minutes of the episode fly by. Great characters, really solid direction, brilliant voice acting, and dynamic animation that perfectly showcases the characters’ emotions.

Replica datte, Koi wo Suru - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plReplica datte, Koi wo Suru

To the rest of the world, she is Aikawa Sunao, an ordinary high school student. In reality, however, she is Nao—a supernatural replica born from the regret of a seven-year-old girl. Brought into existence solely because the real Sunao lacked the courage to apologize to her childhood friend, Nao now lives exclusively as a convenient substitute. Summoned on a whim to take exams, handle daily chores, or attend classes when Sunao doesn’t feel up to it, Nao accepts her fate as a copy without objection. After all, she believes that a replica is merely a replacement—one that has no right to feel desires, let alone possess dreams.

Functioning at school as Sunao, Nao finds her quiet sanctuary in a stuffy, underfunded literature club alongside the aforementioned childhood friend, Hironaka Ritsuko. However, Nao’s carefully balanced and predictable routine is unexpectedly disrupted by the appearance of Sanada Shuuya. Once a rising star and a basketball ace, Shuuya was forced to abandon the court due to a tragic injury right before the tournament qualifiers. Searching for a new place and a sense of belonging, the boy unexpectedly submits an application for trial membership in the literature club.

While Nao helps Shuuya rediscover an appreciation for Japanese classics and continues to review Ritsuko’s amateur novels, the girl begins to experience a vibrant, fleeting youth that, in reality, doesn’t belong to her at all. Although Nao constantly tells herself that her fate cannot change, her own, separate heart is already starting to beat faster.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes in line with my initial expectations, the title really appealed to me. We are dealing with quite an unusual plot device here, and right from the very beginning of the story, it seems to be handled in a highly interesting way. Additionally, the whole thing looks very aesthetic, even though the animation itself might not be the most fluid or dynamic.

When it comes to the audio, the soundtrack deserves a mention. I haven’t heard something this good in a long time. It reminds me a bit of what we used to hear from the KEY team in their various visual novels (and their anime adaptations). Moreover, the ending is also quite pleasant and will definitely make it onto my list of favorites this season. I have high expectations for this anime and I hope I won’t be disappointed.

Hidarikiki no Eren - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plHidarikiki no Eren

Asakura Kouichi is a confident high school student in the school art club who has a safe and calculated dream. He intends to graduate from art school, become a graphic designer at an advertising agency, and ultimately marry a gravure model. Convinced that he is the best artist in his school, he lives in a comfortable reality that is suddenly shattered by the appearance of a mysterious and incredibly talented artist, brazenly leaving her tags on local walls and museum buildings.

Driven by a desire straight out of a shounen manga to prove his superiority, Kouichi paints a mural on the school warehouse wall, hoping to lure his rival out of hiding. His bait attracts the true culprit: Yamagishi Eren, an uncompromising, left-handed genius. Unlike Kouichi, Eren possesses an explosive, untamed gift, yet she is deeply tormented both by her talent and the ubiquitous, mediocre art around her. Painfully aware of the cruel realities of the creative industry—where barely one in a hundred thousand people truly manages to succeed—Eren clashes with Kouichi, striking at his naive, immature ambitions.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes It certainly won’t be my most anticipated new release of this season on my list, but the premiere episode interested me enough to give the subsequent ones a chance. An interesting main theme and characters. The song used in the opening completely did not appeal to me. I can’t stand rap and I never will. Even though it wasn’t as bad as the Creepy Nuts openings, which practically give me nervous twitches, this will most likely be one of those few openings that I will skip. The ending, however, is the complete opposite – this track will definitely find a place on my playlists.

Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu! - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plTadaima, Ojamasaremasu!

For the twenty-four-year-old, overworked office worker, Nakama Rinko, her own apartment is more than just a place to sleep. It is an impenetrable otaku sanctuary. Surrounded by her favorite manga and anime, Rinko can neutralize any negative stimuli coming from the real world. Her current obsession is the hit series Usaneko Club, which serves as her ultimate healing mechanism. However, a certain problem arises. The mysterious neighbor on the right aggressively bangs on the wall every time the girl tries to watch an anime other than her beloved Usaneko Club.

Exhausted and terrified by the neighbor’s primitive behavior, Rinko seeks help from the tenant on the left, Satsuki. The polite and incredibly caring man acts almost like a nurturing grandma, causing Rinko to immediately let her guard down. Wanting to protect her, Satsuki proposes confronting the noisy neighbor, offering to play the role of her boyfriend.

This whole situation turns into complete chaos, however, when the tenant on the right literally smashes through her apartment wall. He turns out to be Usada—better known to the world as Usaharu-sensei, a genius mangaka and the creator of Rinko’s beloved Usaneko Club. Starving, sleep-deprived, and driven to madness by approaching deadlines, the eccentric creator tastes just one bowl of the rice porridge prepared by the girl and immediately demands that she become his personal cook-assistant.

Seeing no way to leave Rinko alone with such a demanding mangaka, Satsuki gets even more invested in playing his role as her fake partner. With the destruction of the physical wall dividing their apartments, Rinko’s peaceful, two-dimensional sanctuary is suddenly invaded by two incredibly determined, three-dimensional men.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it’s shaping up to be quite a pleasant romance. Even though I am usually not a fan of shoujo, in this case, the whole setup caught my interest enough that I will probably watch the entire thing.

Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plOtaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai

Seo Takuya is a first-year high school student and a self-proclaimed otaku—however, his tastes differ from the standard late-night series. His absolute obsession is Kirakira Monpets (shortened to Kiramon), a Sunday morning “magical girl” anime that, while aimed at children, boasts a surprisingly dark world and a devoted fan base. Accustomed to being mocked and marginalized because of his hobby, Takuya follows one fundamental rule of the school hierarchy: flashy, extroverted gyaru and introverted otaku live in two completely different, non-overlapping worlds.

His peaceful school life is turned upside down when Ijichi Kotoko—a cheerful, somewhat airheaded gyaru seasonaldescriptionsitting in the desk in front of him—borrows his precious, limited-edition Kiramon eraser. Contrary to the boy’s fears of being labeled a creep, his passion and his secret Minsta account full of original fanart spark sincere admiration and respect in Kotoko.

The situation complicates further thanks to the aloof, model-like Amane Kei. Although the girl constantly tries to keep up appearances by blaming her younger sister, her encyclopedic knowledge of Kiramon episode premieres and her teary eyes after the tragic death of a villain make the truth painfully obvious: the most popular girl in school is actually a closet otaku.

Thus, Takuya suddenly finds himself sharing math textbooks, trading limited-edition figures, and discussing anime plot nuances with the exact kind of girls he believed would despise him.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes I didn’t expect to like this anime so much. What I expected even less was the fact that a series of this type would have such sensational visuals. The level of detail in the character designs and backgrounds is incredibly impressive and is usually reserved for projects where the creators are clear enthusiasts (e.g., Akebi-chan) or very popular adaptations with high budgets. I’m looking forward to the next episodes.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 4th Season - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plRe:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 4th Season

Natsuki Subaru is just leaving a convenience store, and the last thing he would expect is to be transported to an isekai—which is exactly what just happened. Lost and confused, Subaru begins to wander through a vast city. In a narrow alleyway, he is attacked by a few petty thugs, but a beautiful silver-haired girl rushes to his rescue. Shortly after, he learns that an item of hers has been stolen. As a gesture of gratitude, Natsuki declares his desire to help her search for the thief.

Later that same day, they pick up the trail and decide to search an abandoned warehouse under the cover of night. Unfortunately, shortly after entering, Subaru and his companion are murdered. However, he quickly regains consciousness in a now-familiar setting. The events of the previous day unexpectedly begin to repeat themselves, leading once again to his death…

Season 4

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes The only thing I can add at this stage (after so many sensational seasons) is the fact that the visual production seems to be more detailed than in previous seasons; meanwhile, this is still the Re:Zero I’ve been waiting for.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu 5th Season - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plKanojo, Okarishimasu 5th Season

Kinoshita Kazuya is dumped by his girlfriend. Unable to come to terms with this fact, in his despair he finds a website offering rent-a-girlfriend services for a modest 5,000 yen per hour. In an act of desperation, he decides to take the offer, and the very next day, the beautiful and charming Mizuhara Chizuru appears before his eyes. However, the boy quickly discovers that it is all just an act and in her eyes, he is simply another client; because of this, he leaves a negative comment visible to other customers. The following day, during a visit to an aquarium, he decides to tell her what he really thinks of the whole thing—which reveals Chizuru’s true character. Moments later, the boy receives a phone call informing him that his grandmother has ended up in the hospital. Since his time with Chizuru hasn’t ended yet, he takes her with him and introduces her to his family. Ironically, Chizuru’s grandmother is staying in the same hospital…

Season 5

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it is a direct continuation of the events from the previous season. My expectations remain unchanged; this is already the fifth season, and if I didn’t like the series, I would have given up on watching it long ago. I don’t share the opinion of many people regarding this title; I’ve liked it from the beginning. I don’t project myself onto the main character, which is why I am able to derive pleasure from watching it.

Yowayowa Sensei - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plYowayowa Sensei

Sixteen-year-old Abikura dreams only of an uncomplicated, peaceful high school life. Unfortunately, his second year starts with the arrival of a terrifying new homeroom teacher—Hiwamura Hiyori. She has a notorious reputation among the other students and is known as the Spooky Teacher. Rumors circulate that she is sometimes covered in blood, carries a box cutter, fills her notebooks with cursed talismans, and casts dark hexes on anyone who gets in her way.

However, a chance encounter reveals the truth to the boy. The teacher isn’t scary at all, but rather a hopelessly clumsy person. Her “curses” are actually just her tripping over her words in a panic, her “dark rituals” turn out to be her practicing lessons in front of stuffed animals, and her intimidating aura is, in reality, crippling social anxiety. She is the epitome of a defenseless and frail (yowayowa) teacher, possessing zero stamina, terrible luck, and an uncanny knack for getting herself into embarrassing, slightly suggestive situations. Unable to leave the pitiful teacher to fend for herself, Abikura steps in to help her survive the school days, accidentally taking on the role of class rep in the process.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes though I hope the series’ formula won’t become too repetitive, and that each episode will present something fresh. Visually, it looks quite nice. The track used in the opening is brilliant.

Ichijouma Mankitsugurashi! - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plIchijouma Mankitsugurashi!

Keeping in mind the difficult financial situation of her large rural family, country girl Morita Meiko impulsively applies for a scholarship and transfer to the prestigious Amamiya Girls’ Academy. To her complete surprise, she gets accepted.

However, upon arriving in Tokyo, Meiko quickly discovers that her new, luxurious dorm is actually a manga cafe, and her admission to the school comes with a detail she hadn’t expected. It turns out she received a spot at the academy only because she was mistakenly identified as an outstanding mangaka with the exact same first and last name. Terrified by the prospect of ending up penniless on the streets of a big city, and unable to look her family in the eye if she were to be expelled, Meiko decides to play along with the misunderstanding.

Keeping her true identity a secret won’t be an easy task, however, especially in the company of highly eccentric roommates. Meiko must find her footing in this new reality, living under the same roof as Amamiya Rie, the rich, manga-obsessed dorm manager and daughter of the school’s principal. The group also includes Suzuki Marika, who leads a double life as a wildly popular streamer on the MyuTube platform, and Nakano Neo—an aspiring professional gamer who immediately awakens strong older sister instincts in Meiko.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it’s been a long time since I’ve seen an adaptation of a Manga Time Kirara series. The first episode leads me to believe that this will be a great adaptation, and anime of this type (CGDCT) are unfortunately a rarity nowadays. I am eagerly looking forward to the next episodes.

Aishiteru Game wo Owarasetai - Anime Wiosna 2026 - rascal.plAishiteru Game wo Owarasetai

Since the sixth grade of elementary school, childhood friends Asagi Yukiya and Sakura Miku have been fighting a fierce and tense battle they named the I love you game. At first, the rules were incredibly simple. They took turns confessing their love to each other, and the first person to blush lost. However, four years later, neither of them has admitted defeat, and the game itself has turned into a test of endurance where absolutely anything goes.

Now that both are starting their first year at Shinju High School, the stakes are higher than ever. What began as innocent, childish teasing has evolved into genuine, incredibly strong, and mutual feelings. Deep down, Yukiya is crazy about Miku and desperately wants to prove that he has grown into a reliable man. To achieve this, he even goes as far as studying love tactics straight out of shoujo manga—with the legendary kabedon at the forefront—to finally make the girl’s heart skip a beat. Miku, on the other hand, is completely in love with him and is determined to force him to notice her feminine charm. She uses her cute new school uniform and bold physical closeness as weapons, hoping to break through his tough-guy facade.

Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes it’s a really cute start. The character design is great. I am very satisfied with the visual quality, and Itou Miku in the role of… Miku is a masterpiece. This is the final premiere I was looking forward to this season, and I’m very happy that this anime is exactly what I expected after seeing the poster and watching the PV.
