After a very successful spring and a somewhat calmer summer, it is time to see what fall 2026 has in store for us. This time, after making my selection, I was left with 14 new series that seem interesting enough for me to give them a chance. It is shaping up to be quite a substantial season, and its sequel lineup looks especially strong – as many as five titles are continuations I am genuinely looking forward to. There are also several completely new productions that may turn out to be pleasant surprises. So let’s see what interesting things Anime Fall 2026 may bring.
Summer Season Summary
At the very beginning, a brief summary of the previous season. I recommend that you read the linked post, as here I will list in a nutshell the best summer series, which I would consider a waste to omit. The final commentary and rating of each series listed can also be seen in the aforementioned post on the previous season. If I have decided to review a particular title individually, it will be linked below. Only completed series are included here. If I decide to write a full review of a given anime, it will be linked below. Random order.
- Mushoku Tensei III Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu
- Seihantai na Kimi to Boku 2nd Season
- Kore Kaite Shine
- Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken

Preliminary expectations for the Anime Fall 2026
I’d like to note that this post will be updated as the first episodes premiere. As always, you can expect descriptions, my personal opinion, and screenshots, so I recommend checking back frequently. The PVs (preview videos) can be found in the list under the next heading. I’m slightly changing the format of my preliminary expectations. There is now a bit more information available, presented in a more readable way as well. After the first episodes premiere, the section below will be hidden behind a spoiler tag, as per usual. My commentary will only appear for premieres or sequels where there is something new worth mentioning (like a change in studio or voice actors).

My comment:
Two more things:
- Why do I always start descriptions with the visuals? The answer is simple – it’s usually the first thing we see and, especially in the case of first episodes, it sticks in memory.
- Why don’t I describe/watch Series X? It’s so great and all. I don’t know what will be a commercial hit right now, but if I didn’t list it in my post, it means this anime doesn’t interest me at all. I don’t list such series because it’s a waste of my time to watch them—and by extension, I don’t recommend them—because, as I’ve mentioned many times, I only recommend what interests me.

Information about the content of the Anime Fall 2026 post
Once again, I would like to remind you of the fact that descriptions, pictures, and my opinions about Anime Fall 2026 will appear on a regular basis as the first episodes are released. Order of descriptions below = order of episode premieres. The full schedule for the Anime Fall 2026 season can be found, for example, here.
As in the post about the previous season, under each anime description, my rating (according to the scheme below) will appear after the first episode of the Anime Fall 2026 season:
Yes – I believe the given production is worth attention.
Not quite – in the case of the first episode, this will usually mean that not enough of the plot was shown to recommend the given series. In the case of the sixth episode, the series is average and can be skipped.
No – I do not recommend it; it is a waste of time.
Most series that I like will get separate full reviews after the season ends. I recommend checking the latest posts often.
As always, I will also inform you about translation quality. When there is a better alternative, in my opinion, to the official subs from Crunchyroll or Funimation (and therefore SubsPlease as well), a relevant note will appear after my impressions from the first episode.

FX Senshi Kurumi-chan
Fifteen-year-old Fukuga Kurumi leads the ordinary life of a student, completely uninterested in the ongoing global financial crisis or the news about the rapidly deteriorating economic situation. Everything changes when one day she discovers that her mother, Fukuga Kozue, has lost as much as 20 million yen through currency trading. Afraid of how her father, who is away from home, will react and that the family might fall apart, Kurumi tries to find a way to recover the money. Kozue, however, refuses to let her daughter take a job and assures her that she will fix her own mistake. She begins working more and more, while Kurumi secretly learns the basics of the forex market, reaching a simple conclusion: if it is possible to lose an enormous amount of money there so quickly, it should be possible to earn it just as quickly. Because of her age, however, she still cannot start trading herself. Not long afterward, overwhelmed by the entire situation, Kozue takes her own life, leaving her daughter with a sense of guilt and the conviction that if she had been older and stronger, she might have been able to save her.
Five years later, twenty-year-old Kurumi is a third-year student at a local university. Thanks to a scholarship and a part-time job, she covers part of her tuition herself while also saving 300,000 yen, which she intends to use as starting capital. She has spent years preparing for this exact moment – her goal remains to recover the 20 million yen her mother lost and prove to herself that the tragedy could have been avoided. Fully aware of how difficult it is to make money consistently on the currency market, Kurumi rejects a safe, long-term strategy and opts for risky, highly leveraged trading through an overseas broker. On her very first trade, she bets on the dollar rising against the yen and almost immediately begins earning amounts greater than her daily pay from work. The initial success quickly boosts her confidence, and for the first time Kurumi feels that she is no longer a helpless child. But when, instead of closing the profitable position, she decides to wait for an even bigger gain, the market suddenly turns against her and the savings she spent years building begin disappearing at an alarming pace.
Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes – no surprise here. The PV had already got me interested, and the full opening episode only confirmed that I’ll be sticking with the series to the end. The subject matter is close to my interests – the author seems to have had quite a bit of experience with it himself, because the whole trading side is portrayed really well. I also liked the visuals a lot.

Koori no Jouheki 2nd Season
To her peers at Meiten High School, first-year student Hikawa Koyuki is an unapproachable Queen—a girl radiating an icy aura who keeps everyone at a safe distance. In reality, however, she isn’t cold at all; she is simply trying to protect herself at any cost. Scarred by painful memories from Kirinoshima Junior High, where unwanted advances and cruel taunts were dismissed by older students as mere jokes, Koyuki has built a powerful emotional wall around herself. She completely hides her true, somewhat clumsy and poetic self, preferring a quiet life in isolation over the risk of being hurt again. The only person allowed past her defense mechanisms is her fiercely loyal best friend, Azumi Miki—a sociable and widely beloved idol in her class.
Koyuki is perfectly satisfied with her quiet, solitary high school life until her path begins to regularly cross with Amamiya Minato, a laid-back boy from another class. He is characterized by an almost total disregard for others’ personal space. His overly friendly nature and easygoing banter instantly trigger Koyuki’s deepest fears, reminding her of the boys she swore to avoid.
Do I recommend it after the first episode? Yes – this is a direct continuation of the events from Season 1. I didn’t notice any changes in the production at all. I enjoyed watching the whole thing just as much. The ending, however, was a letdown. Season 1 had a brilliant ending song, but the one used here is rather bland.

Best Openings and Endings – Anime Fall 2026
It’s similar to the year-end recaps, namely – I recommend what I consider awesome in my opinion. Below is a list of my favorite songs from the openings and endings (all of them I consider noteworthy, but the ones I particularly love are marked in bold, while the ones I consider as even more outstanding are marked in green, bold font). The scheme is clear, but I will clarify it:
