Konbu Wakame – Soleil (Art Jeuness, 2023) – My Comment
Konbu Wakame is the artist responsible for, among other things, the drawings in her manga. Such as Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii and Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki. It is, of course, about Jahy in two forms, Lilith and Chiaki. A nice touch is that many of the works depict the aforementioned heroines posing together.
The publication is 144 pages in A4 format. The vast majority of illustrations fill entire pages. Many of them are printed on both pages. Print quality is simply phenomenal. The colors downright pour out every time the page is turned. The attention to detail is stunning, even after looking through the whole thing over and over again. You can see this to some extent in the photos of selected pages, which I have included below, as usual. Of course, these do not fully reflect how the artbook looks in person. I think that fans of Konbu Wakame’s style will certainly feel the urge to purchase this compilation of the said author’s works after seeing them.

The illustrations themselves are simply sensational. I would dare to say that Soleil is one of the prettiest in terms of content artbooks I own. And I own quite a few of them. If I were to recommend any artbooks to new collectors, this one would certainly be listed as one of the first ones.
On the last pages you can find an index of the illustrations along with brief information about where they came from. Right after the index you can read a few words from the artist herself.
The publication is priced at ¥3364, which is a fairly standard price when it comes to artbooks.
Additional info
She also uploaded several videos on drawing on her YouTube channel. Starting from sketches through filling with color and finishing the whole thing. I would recommend it to anyone learning how to draw in Japanese style. It’s always better to seek and learn from the origin.
Konbu Wakame – Soleil (Art Jeuness, 2023) – Show Off
Before I show a dozen photos of the artbook’s contents, a quick look at the exterior page folded into a high-quality wrapper and obi.

After removing the wrapper from the obi, again the same illustration.
