Asakura Ryouko – B-style 1/4 – Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (FREEing, 2008)

Machikado Mazoku is one of my favorite yonkoma published in Manga Time Kirara. It also has a brilliant anime adaptation that makes it even more enjoyable to watch, primarily because of how phenomenally the voice actors did their job (especially Kohara Konomi as the main character). Anyway, I already wrote a review on the adaptation, which you can read here. However, I didn’t have a figurine representing any of the heroines so far, so it was about time to get one.

I’ve set myself a goal to collect the entire collection of 1/8 scale [email protected] figures produced by Phat! Company. Their quality for the price is simply superb in many respects (sculpting, brilliant reproduction of character designs from 2D to 3D, paint quality, etc.). Unfortunately, my copy of Minase Iori suffered from the well-known problem of plasticizer leakage.

Six versions of the Angelic Island figures were produced – Hagiwara Yukiho, Ganaha Hibiki, Takatsuki Yayoi, Amami Haruka and Hoshii Miki, the one covered in this post. Each was sold for ¥7800. This is a slightly higher standard of figures than the cheap Pop Up Parade figures popular in Poland.
