Yuuki Mikan – 1/7 – To LOVEru Darkness (FuRyu / F:NEX, 2021) – My Comment
Another Yuuki Mikan figure in my collection. This time in a 1/7 scale sold under the F:NEX brand (owned by FuRyu). After purchasing it, I read the comments about it and noticed that quite a few people complained about the quality of the paint job. To be honest, I haven’t noticed any defects or badly painted parts. The only thing I could complain about is the look of the mouth and the quality of the plastic used for the hair. You can see some imperfections on the close-ups.
The figure itself, although new, was a bit dusty (everything was factory wrapped). But everything else? As for me – it’s great. A lot of detail, great colors, and a well-reproduced 3D model of the figure. This is not that obvious – even in more expensive figures poor sculpts happen. As far as the movable parts. There’s a stand, a metal umbrella holder which needs to be manually placed in her hands, and a semi-transparent top covering the umbrella, which is placed on a metal tube (it remains movable).
It’s worth mentioning that the statue was created based on this illustration by the series’ creator (Yabuki Kentarou). I can wholeheartedly recommend this figurine to every fan of To LOVEru. Especially since its price is not very high and it looks great on a shelf in a display cabinet.
