Nemesis – B-style 1/4 – To LOVE-Ru (FREEing, 2022) – My Comment
Introduction
As soon as I saw the announcement of this figure, I instantly wished to have it in my collection. Even in the first pictures it already looked brilliant. Unfortunately, I forgot to pre-order and after the release I already doubted whether I would be able to buy it at the price the manufacturer suggested. Fortunately, two weeks later I received an email from Amazon’s Japanese branch that the item I was watching was available. Four days later it was at my house.
Nemesis – B-style 1/4 – Workmanship
Once again I was surprised by the size. This time not the height, but the diameter of the whole thing. Nemesis’ hair is really spread tight. By the way, this provides the figure with a great balance. The amount of hair that is on the ground level easily supports the whole thing from behind. This greatly increases the balance of the whole thing and basically eliminates the possibility of tipping over (even if I tried).
After unpacking, I saw a sturdily packaged figure, with each piece wrapped in plastic. It comes with the standard bunny ears. In addition, you will find one more piece of footwear to match. However, in my opinion, Nemesis looks much better without this accessory.
The quality of painting stands at a standard high level. Very nicely done shading. Also, with the characteristic Nemesis’ purple shine on the hair. While processing the photos, I noticed some dust specks. However, it was nothing out of the norm compared to other figures of this series. In any case, they are almost invisible to the naked eye, so in this case I gave myself a wash.
It’s worth mentioning that Nemesis is another figure without a stand (like the rest of B-Style in poses other than standing). So it’s worth getting some soft, uncolored fabric and avoid placing it directly on glass in a display case (or wooden shelf). Over time, this can cause damage to it. This is something everyone should rather want to avoid in figurines of this price range and fairly limited edition.
Other remarks and summary
In my opinion, this is one of the prettiest figures from under the B-Style collection. If you are additionally a fan of To LOVE-Ru (as I am), I wholeheartedly recommend it. By the way, starting with this review, I will also include a presentation video in addition to the pictures themselves. For the previous ones I will probably also record in the future.
