KOS-MOS:Re – 1/7 – Xenoblade 2 (Good Smile Company, 2020) – My Comment
Introduction
Considering how big of a fan I am of the Xenoblade series (especially the second installment), I don’t really need to mention it every time I review a product related to Xenoblade. KOS-MOS is one of my favorite blades. She has never left my lineup since I acquired her. Additionally, she is primarily the main heroine of the Xenosaga game, so as a fan of the entire universe, I couldn’t just pass by such a beautiful figurine. She simply had to appear alongside Homura. In the future, Nia and Hikari will surely join them.
KOS-MOS:Re – 1/7 – Xenoblade 2 (Good Smile Company, 2020) – Workmanship
The figure was released in 2020. Unlike other statues in this series, it has not had a reissue in subsequent years. In addition to the Good Smile Company hologram, the box also features a Nintendo quality hologram. The design is based on an illustration by Tanaka Kunihiko. The sculpting was done by Akimofu, while the painting was handled by Akimoto Hajime. Just like with the previously reviewed Homura, I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of this figure. It boasts an incredible amount of detail, and there are no imperfections in the painting. Upon removing it from the box, there was no dust on the figure. There were also no issues with placing the figure on its base.
KOS-MOS’s face looks beautiful from every angle and perspective. The figure consists of several parts that need to be assembled manually. However, it’s simple enough that I didn’t need to look at the included instructions. You can choose between two versions of the helmet. By default, it is halfway on, which is how I have it. I see no reason to cover the character’s face.
Summary
Fans of the character, whether they discovered her in Xenosaga or Xenoblade 2, don’t have much to ponder. It’s a must-have, definitely worth its price. The figure looks outstanding and unquestionably deserves one of the most prominent spots in the figure display case.
