Introduction

Machikado Mazoku is one of my favorite yonkoma published in Manga Time Kirara. It also has a brilliant anime adaptation that makes it even more enjoyable to watch. Primarily because of how phenomenally the voice actors did their job (especially Kohara Konomi as the main character). Anyway, I already wrote a review on the adaptation, which you can read here. However, I didn’t have a figurine representing any of the heroines so far. It was about time to get one. My choice has fallen on the main heroine (Yoshida Yuuko) in a swimsuit produced by Medicos Entertainment.

Workmanship

Yuuko looks excellent, the quality of the hair shading is far above average, and the rest of her body is rich in detail so you can see that the sculpt was made by someone who knew what they were doing (Kitutehu). With one small exception – the face from certain angles looks a bit… weird. Also noteworthy is a nice stand with characters and imitation water in azure color. All the elements were well-fitted (the tail and the holes in the base) – I had no problem placing the whole thing in the right places.

Other remarks and summary

Yoshida Yuuko had some dust on it after taking it out of the box (which you can see in the pictures). To sum it all up – great value for the money. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

KOS-MOS:Re – 1/7 – Xenoblade 2 (Good Smile Company, 2020)

Considering how big of a fan I am of the Xenoblade series (especially the second installment), I don't really need to mention it every time I review a product related to Xenoblade. KOS-MOS is one of my favorite blades. She has never left my lineup since I acquired her.

Nemesis – B-style 1/4 – To LOVE-Ru (FREEing, 2022)

As soon as I saw the announcement of this figure, I instantly wished to have it in my collection. Even in the first pictures it already looked brilliant. Unfortunately, I forgot to pre-order and after the release I already doubted whether I would be able to buy it at the price the manufacturer suggested.

Milim Nava / Rimuru Tempest – 1/7 – Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (With Fans!)

The figurine ended up in my collection right after its release, despite the fact that I hadn't even watched or read Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (which hasn't changed until now, though I've had it in my plans for a long time).

Minase Iori – 1/8 – THE iDOLM@STER (Phat Company, 2014)

I've set myself a goal to collect the entire collection of 1/8 scale Idolm@ster figures produced by Phat! Company. Their quality for the price is simply superb in many respects (sculpting, brilliant reproduction of character designs from 2D to 3D, paint quality, etc.). Unfortunately, my copy of Minase Iori suffered from the well-known problem of plasticizer leakage.
