Succubus Rurumu – 1/6 – Original Character (Bishop’s Rondo, 2020) – My Comment
Introduction
Figurine was designed based on an illustration by Tamano Kedama. Rurumu is an original design by this artist. The manufacturer is Bishop’s Rondo. A company mainly engaged in transferring original figures into 3D form in the form of high-quality figurines.
Workmanship
I can’t complain about anything when it comes to build quality. Attention to detail is impressive. The painting was executed in an exemplary manner, with no abrasions or other damage from the production process. The hair is made of high-quality material and perfectly molded resulting in an impression of dealing with a premium product. I couldn’t see any fraying – which, unfortunately, is often the case even with high-end figures.
Other remarks and summary
It’s worth mentioning that the base is covered with a layer of hairy material. It perfectly protects the plastic of which the figurine is made and the paint for a long period of time. Generally speaking, I recommend buying some of this material to have something to put the figurines on without bases, the surface of which touches directly the surface on which they are placed – for example, glass in a display case.
After taking the Succubus Rurumu out of the box you need to unfold it and take off the protective film. It’s a bit of work and the process requires delicacy and patience. In the case of this figurine it’s rather difficult to damage anything. Unlike Ayaka-chan from the same manufacturer, which I wrote about here. Placing Rurumu on the stand is not difficult either, as the statue is well balanced. The only thing to do after removing the foil and assembling the whole thing is to place it on the hairy stand and place it in the display case.
I believe that the price at which it was sold by the manufacturer is fully justified, because you really get a high-quality product, which has been spent a lot of time to refine and bring it almost to perfection. I would definitely recommend it.
