Miura Azusa – 1/8 – THE iDOLM@STER (Phat Company, 2016) – My Comment

When I first saw this figure, I immediately added it to my must-have list. I was charmed by the amount of detail and how well the model of this figure looks in 3D. Which is not always so obvious. Of course, this is thanks to Mazaki Yuusuke, because good design and sculpting is essential.

When the package finally arrived and I opened the box, I could tell that it looks even better in person than in the manufacturer’s photos. When I took a closer look at the finish, I did notice a few minor flaws in the paint job. However, in reality are so small that you can only see them on very close inspection. The overall quality at this price point (¥8400 at launch) is really satisfactory.

Kurosaki Mea & Yami – To LOVEru Darkness (Max Factory / Pop Up Parade, 2022)

This time I decided to review two figures from the To LOVEru series because they were both released as Pop Up Parade and come from one - let's call it a collection (swimsuits). The Pop Up Parade figures are very popular due to their price, which is often lower than those released as Prize. It should be obvious that at such a price range you will not get anything outstanding with detail, meticulously performed quality control or detailed painting.

Yoshida Yuuko – 1/7 Swimsuit Ver. – Machikado Mazoku(Kotobukiya, Medicos Entertainment, 2021)

Machikado Mazoku is one of my favorite yonkoma published in Manga Time Kirara. It also has a brilliant anime adaptation that makes it even more enjoyable to watch, primarily because of how phenomenally the voice actors did their job (especially Kohara Konomi as the main character). Anyway, I already wrote a review on the adaptation, which you can read here. However, I didn't have a figurine representing any of the heroines so far, so it was about time to get one.

Takemoto Uruka – 1/7 – Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai (Phat Company, 2022)

It's hard not to buy a figurine portraying your favorite character from a series, especially when the series itself is held in high regard. In addition, I am used to the quality of Phat! Company products, so I ordered this figure without a second thought.

Koakuma Rias-chan – 1/6 – Original Character (Bishop’s Rondo, 2020)

The figurine was created based on an illustration by Ayuma Sayu. Koakuma Rias-chan is an original design by this artist. The manufacturer is Bishop's Rondo, a company mainly engaged in transferring original figures into 3D form in the form of high-quality figurines.
