Homura – 1/7 – Max Factory (Xenoblade 2) – My Comment

Introduction

I’m a huge fan of Xenoblade 2, which you could actually see in my review of that game. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the preorder of Homura. Then it was quite hard to get it at a reasonable price. I found it on Amazon Japan a few weeks ago, and basically without thinking I used the カートに入れる (add to cart) button. Especially since it was listed at a price slightly lower than the manufacturer’s recommendation, and it was new. The whole package was delivered in four days by DHL and the contents were in perfect condition.

Workmanship

With figures in this price category (let’s face it, it wasn’t cheap), you expect the highest standard of painting, sculpting and general workmanship. I’m happy to say that, in this case, we definitely get what we pay for. There’s even a Nintendo Seal of Quality hologram on the box. The painting is perfect. I haven’t noticed a single – even the tiniest – defect or inaccuracy.

Homura fits the stand perfectly. An additional metal attachment makes the whole thing even more rigid. You don’t have to worry about it falling over or breaking under its own weight after some time. The only thing I could complain about is the foil around the neck. It was extremely difficult to remove it. I even tried with precision tweezers but small fragments remained. I didn’t want to wrestle with it as I was afraid of damaging the paint. You can see it on a few pictures.

Other remarks and summary

Homura (Holy Grail) is my favorite character from the game, so I simply had to become the owner of this statuette. I don’t regret the money I spent, and I’m sure that everyone who buys it will also have similar feelings. I recommend it wholeheartedly (but I don’t think I need to confirm it to other fans, because they probably already have her).

Eris Boreas Greyrat – Okigae Mode – 1/7 – Mushoku Tensei (Ques Q, 2023)

Another Eris figurine in my collection. Both of them (including the previous one from CA Works, which I recently reviewed here) I wanted to have in my display cabinet as soon as I saw them for the first time. Fortunately, the sale was not heavily limited, so I was able to purchase them without any problems.

Yuuki Mikan – 1/7 – To LOVEru Darkness (FuRyu / F:NEX, 2021)

Another Mikan figure in my collection. This time in a 1/7 scale sold under the F:NEX brand (owned by FuRyu). After purchasing it, I read the comments about it and noticed that quite a few people complained about the quality of the paint job. To be honest, I haven't noticed any defects or badly painted parts.

KOS-MOS:Re – 1/7 – Xenoblade 2 (Good Smile Company, 2020)

Considering how big of a fan I am of the Xenoblade series (especially the second installment), I don't really need to mention it every time I review a product related to Xenoblade. KOS-MOS is one of my favorite blades. She has never left my lineup since I acquired her.

Jougasaki Mika – 1/7 – THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls (Bandai Spirits, 2020)

The figure looks exceptionally well, especially if we take into account its price and the fact that it was released as a prize. Unfortunately, as is often the case with prize figurines, the quality control is not on a high level.
