Ayaka-chan – 1/6 – Original Character (Bishop’s Rondo, 2020) – My Comment

Introduction

The figure has been created based on Gaou’s illustration. Ayaka-chan is an original creation done by this artist. The manufacturer is Bishop’s Rondo. A company that mainly deals with transferring original characters into 3D form as high-quality figurines.

Workmanship

The quality of the workmanship is excellent. Attention to detail and the way the figure has been painted, and the shadows reproduction are quite impressive. It’s worth mentioning that the base is covered with a layer of hairy material. It is a great way to protect the plastic of the figure and its painting for a long time. Generally speaking, I recommend buying some of this material to have something to put the figures on without the bases directly touching the surface on which they are placed. For example, glass in a display case.

Other remarks and summary

It’s also worth mentioning that after taking the figurine out of the box, you have to disassemble it and take out the protective foil. This requires a lot of delicacy. Especially the bow on the T-shirt, which unfortunately in my case got torn off. Fortunately, a bit of glue fixed the problem quite easily. I’m not the only one with this problem. A friend of mine and a few MyFigureCollection users also mentioned this fact in the comments.
I also had a problem with the figure sitting in the included heart-shaped (plastic) pillow. Admittedly, it does have a groove for Ayaka-chan’s cat’s tail. Though it takes quite a while to place it in such a way as to make the whole thing a single piece.

Additionally, the lack of any mention in the manual about the piece of triangular transparent plastic included in the box made it difficult for many people to place it in the right spot. After some time, I finally managed to solve this puzzle . You have to put it under the figure’s right leg so that the whole thing keeps its balance.
Nevertheless, I think it’s worth buying – the price definitely reflects the quality in this case.

Takemoto Uruka – 1/7 – Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai (Phat Company, 2022)

It's hard not to buy a figurine portraying your favorite character from a series, especially when the series itself is held in high regard. In addition, I am used to the quality of Phat! Company products, so I ordered this figure without a second thought.

Jougasaki Mika – 1/7 – THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls (Bandai Spirits, 2020)

The figure looks exceptionally well, especially if we take into account its price and the fact that it was released as a prize. Unfortunately, as is often the case with prize figurines, the quality control is not on a high level.

Misaka Mikoto – B-style 1/4 – To Aru Kagaku no Railgun T (FREEing, 2022)

A few days ago, a DHL courier showed up at my door with the shipment. So I welcomed another 1/4 scale B-Style FREEing's figure in my collection. As with the Shokuhou Misaki (also from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun T) reviewed earlier this year- its size impressed me. It may not have been as surprising as Misaki, however, there was still a "wow" effect.

Homura – 1/7 – Max Factory / Good Smile Company (Xenoblade 2)

I'm a huge fan of Xenoblade 2, which you could actually see in my review of that game. Unfortunately I didn't catch the preorder of Homura, and then it was quite hard to get it at a reasonable price. I found it on Amazon Japan a few weeks ago, and basically without thinking I used the カートに入れる (add to cart) button.
